Businesses: How to Electronically File Form 8300

The IRS is reminding businesses that if they intend to file 10 or more information returns reporting cash payments over $10,000 in a single transaction, they must file Form 8300 electronically, instead of filing the forms on paper. To e-file, your business must first set up an account with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s BSA E-Filing System. You can use the system to batch e-file multiple reports and receive confirmation from the IRS when it receives them. If you aren’t able to e-file, you may ask the IRS for a waiver. If your request is approved, the waiver will apply to all Forms 8300 for the remaining calendar year. Contact us for assistance or visit: https://bit.ly/3IOAUQA.© 2024
