Fred M. LaMarca, CPA, CFP®, Director, Core Services Group, specializes in servicing high net worth individuals and privately held companies in a wide variety of industries. Prior to joining Cg Tax, Audit & Advisory, Fred was a founding partner of Potter & LaMarca LLP, a widely respected CPA firm with offices in Staten Island, New York and Red Bank, New Jersey.

A certified public accountant (CPA) for more than 40 years, Fred started his career with a Big Four CPA firm, working in their audit and small business departments servicing Fortune 500 companies and other emerging businesses before establishing his own practice.

Fred is a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds various securities and insurance licenses. In this capacity, Fred regularly assists clients in all aspects of the financial planning process to help them achieve their financial goals and objectives.

A frequent lecturer on tax, accounting, and financial matters, Fred has been a speaker at various seminars sponsored by governmental agencies, colleges, and local financial institutions. Fred is also a former member of the Department of Business at the College of Staten Island, teaching courses in accounting and auditing, and was a grader of the Uniform CPA Examination.

Fred earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with honors, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting with honors from Pace University. He is a past president of the Staten Island Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs and is a recipient of its Distinguished Service Award.

Fred’s civic involvement includes the positions of former chairman, Staten Island Chamber of Commerce; former member of the Board of Directors for the Staten Island YMCA; and various other community organizations. Fred is also a past recipient of the Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award, issued by the New York State Society of CPAs to accounting professionals that demonstrate a history of public service and volunteerism for charitable, community, or civic organizations.
