Extension for Some State Business Tax Filings

New Jersey corporations are being given an automatic extension for certain state business tax filings. The NJ Div. of Taxation says that taxpayers filing a CBT-100, CBT-100U, BFC-1 or CBT-100S, with an original due date of Nov. 15 or Dec. 15 (that is, fiscal tax year filers which had a tax year ending July 31, 2019, and Aug. 31, 2019, respectively), have been granted an automatic extension to file their returns by Jan. 15, 2020. Those filing under this extension won’t be charged late filing penalties, if the returns are filed by the extended due date. The extension applies only to the filing of the return and doesn’t extend the time to make any required payments. Contact the Cg Team for more information. © 2019
