An important tax deadline is approaching! Thursday, Oct. 15, is the deadline for taxpayers who filed for a six-month extension to submit their 2025 individual federal income tax return (Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR). To help ensure your return is completed and filed on time, please make sure all required documents and information are submitted to your tax preparer as soon as possible.
This includes Social Security numbers for everyone listed on your return, bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit, Forms W-2 and 1099, records of virtual currency transactions, and supporting documentation for any credits or deductions you plan to claim.
Oct. 15 is also the deadline for taxpayers who received a six-month extension to file their 2025 federal gift tax return (Form 709).
