Elective Surgeries & Invasive Procedures in NJ to Resume on May 26

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy recently signed Executive Order No. 1451 that allows elective surgeries and invasive procedures (both medical and dental) to resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 5:00 am.

According to the New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub, the Department of Health is expected to issue policies today to address how elective surgeries and invasive procedures may proceed in healthcare facilities. Additionally, the Division of Consumer Affairs is expected to issue policies today addressing similar considerations for how elective surgeries and invasive procedures may proceed in outpatient settings that are not licensed by the Department of Health.2
