Reminder: Sept. 30, 2020, is the end of the registration period for individuals who receive federal benefits, such as Social Security, but didn’t receive the $500-per-child portion of the COVID-19-related Economic Impact Payment (EIP). As part of the EIP, parents receive $500 for each qualifying child under the age of 17 as of the end of 2020. Eligible taxpayers should use the IRS’s online non-filers tool to enter information on their qualifying children to receive the supplemental $500 payments.
